Teaching Force are launching a brand new CPD Course - An Introduction to SEN

In support of our wonderful candidates we are now launching this CPD course which is free to anyone who is registered with us.

The first course will be on Thursday April 5th at our Head Office in West Bridgford, with more dates to follow.

Our training courses are designed to give Teaching Force candidates professional support and development, with on the job training and real-life classroom experience. Candidates will have the chance to learn how to support additional needs effectively and gain knowledge of different special needs that they work with. Topics covered include:

  • The legislation around identifying SEND and the processes involved in making an EHC Plan
  • Understanding the varying needs in a SEND environment or mainstream school
  • What a SEND setting feels and looks like
  • Supporting students through awareness of different conditions and the various types of support required to aid their learning

The training courses we provide have been described by Teaching Force candidates as extremely informative, with one candidate saying,

"I am extremely grateful for these training opportunities, I feel more confident and have learnt so much in such a small amount of time."

Candidates are provided with a certificate on completion of the training course and the training hours can be added to their Continuous Professional Development record.

Along with the announcement of An Introduction to SEN, Teaching Force also offer our Supporting SEND - A Practical Guide which is now available to all candidates working in schools for us, to aid them in supporting SEN while on assignment. It provides guidance on a range of SEN and tips on how to support each one.

And that’s not all! Coming soon, all of our registered candidates will be able to log in to the Teaching Force Learning Zone, where you will have access to a huge range of free industry-appropriate online courses accredited by The Skills Network. You will gain a nationally recognised qualification through distance learning, with a tutor assigned to support you. These courses are specifically designed to enhance both your personal skills and professional development.
